BadgePix respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use BadgePix.com, purchase a BadgePix, buy or redeem a Gift Certificate, place an agency order, or contact us.


INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Depending on how you use BadgePix, we may collect:

Individual BadgePix Orders

  • Officer or recipient name
  • Optional agency name
  • Mailing address
  • Email address
  • Uploaded photograph
  • Order and fulfillment information

Gift Certificate Purchases

When you purchase a Gift Certificate, we collect your name, email address, optional gift message, and order and payment information. For an officer you know, we also collect the recipient’s name. You deliver the certificate to that officer. We do not require the recipient’s email address, mailing address, or photograph at the time of purchase. For an officer selected by BadgePix, we collect the agency name and location you provide so we can select an officer and mail the certificate. You may choose to share your name and email address with the selected officer so they can thank you if they wish. Sharing is optional, and we record your consent choice. If you do not consent, we do not include your name or email address in the gift materials provided to the officer. Please avoid including information in an optional gift message that you do not want the recipient to see. The recipient supplies their own photograph, mailing address, and email address when redeeming the certificate.

Officers redeeming agency Gift Certificates provide their own photo, mailing address, and email when they redeem their individual certificate.

If you contact BadgePix through the website, we may collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.


PHOTOGRAPHS

Photographs uploaded to BadgePix are used to create, preview, produce, and fulfill the BadgePix ordered by you or redeemed by you. BadgePix does not sell uploaded photographs or use them for advertising without permission.


PAYMENT INFORMATION

Payments are processed through Stripe. BadgePix does not store your full credit or debit card number. Payment information is handled by Stripe according to Stripe’s own privacy and security practices.


HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use personal information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Create and fulfill BadgePix orders
  • Generate BadgePix previews and production files
  • Process Gift Certificate purchases and redemptions
  • Process agency orders
  • Send order, redemption, and fulfillment communications
  • Provide customer support
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, or duplicate redemptions
  • Maintain business and accounting records
  • Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
  • Maintain and improve the security and operation of the BadgePix website


SERVICE PROVIDERS

BadgePix uses third-party service providers to operate the website and fulfill orders. These may include services for:

  • Payment processing
  • Website hosting and delivery
  • Database and secure file storage
  • Email delivery
  • Website forms and related website functions

These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services to BadgePix and are subject to their own privacy practices.


SALE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

BadgePix does not sell your personal information. We do not sell customer names, addresses, email addresses, photographs, or Gift Certificate information to advertisers or data brokers.


DATA SECURITY

BadgePix uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect customer information and uploaded photographs. No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to limit access to information and protect it from unauthorized use or disclosure.


DATA RETENTION

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill orders, maintain business and accounting records, resolve customer-service issues, prevent fraud or duplicate Gift Certificate use, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Information may be deleted or anonymized when it is no longer reasonably needed.


YOUR PRIVACY REQUESTS

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the ability to request access, correction, or deletion of certain information. You may submit a privacy-related request through the Contact page at BadgePix.com.

Some information may need to be retained for legitimate business, tax, fraud-prevention, transaction-record, or legal purposes.


CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

BadgePix is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website. Photographs uploaded by adult customers may contain children or other family members when the customer chooses those photographs for a BadgePix.

BadgePix.com may contain links to third-party websites or services. BadgePix is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites.


CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

BadgePix may update this Privacy Policy as the website, services, or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on BadgePix.com with its effective date.
